# openstack budget channel create

> Create a webhook or email notification channel.

A webhook's signing secret is shown once, here; rotate it to get a new
one. An email address receives nothing until its owner follows the
confirmation link sent to it.

## Usage

```sh
openstack budget channel create \
    --type {email,webhook} \
    [--url <url>] \
    [--address <address>] \
    [--project <project>] \
    [--project-domain <project-domain>] \
    <name>
```

## Arguments

* `<name>`

* `--type <type>` *(required)*

  One of: `email`, `webhook`.

* `--url <url>`

  Webhook: an https URL on a public address.

* `--address <address>`

  Email: the address to notify.

* `--project <project>`

  Owning project (name or ID; defaults to your own).

* `--project-domain <project-domain>`

  Domain the project belongs to (name or ID). This can be used in case collisions between project names exist.

## Output

This command also takes the common output options, such as `-f json` and `-c <column>`. See [Set up the CLI](/developer/cli).
